Operator, Matting, Central/South AB
Under the direction of the Field Supervisor, Matting, all Operators will be responsible for operating designated equipment safely for the installation and service of all matting projects.

Major Responsibilities
- Install and remove allocated matting projects.
- Operate and maintain matting installation and service equipment (i.e. Loaders, grapple and hoes).
- Learn and be taught all aspects of field operations and matting equipment.
- Comply to all safety rules and regulations.
- Repair mats during slow times.
- Perform asset checks and inspections on customer sites and in Strad’s storage yards.
- Practice outstanding customer service at all times.
- Fill in appropriate field paperwork as required.
- Travel as required to matting project sites in Western Canada.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience with heavy equipment operation is required (i.e. Loaders and hoes).
- Experience with setting mats with loader and/or grapple is preferred.
- Previous knowledge and experience with Strad’s matting products is preferred.
- Flexible schedule is required.
- Commitment to safe working practices.
- Efficient and display excellent time management skills.
- High standards of integrity, energy level, and motivation.
- Ability to be insurable for operations of Strad’s equipment.
- Ability to travel and be flexible with time scheduling to meet customer demands.

Physical Requirements:
- Working in outdoor weather conditions in wet and extreme cold.
- Requires strenuous activities including walking, bending, climbing and being able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must be mentally alert at all times.
- Long shifts, regularly 13 hour shifts of work and driving long distances in varying weather conditions.
